TOM'S TIPS - Why You Need a Reel with a Smooth Drag

Tom Rosenbauer is back with another "Tom's Tips" and in this short video he breaks down the reasons why you need a fly reel with a smooth drag.  This reminds me of a shop tour that I took a few years ago with Shawn Combs of Orvis to the facility where the "Made in USA" tools along with the Mirage and now the Mirage LT fly reels are made. 



As much as I like noisy click and pawl fly reels, I can see a lot of value in having a few heavy line weight smooth disc drag fly reels too.
