Last fall on a visit to Bozeman, I spent a couple of mornings at the SKWALA shop with Kevin Sloan and Rich Hohne and had the chance to get first looks and feels on the new Backeddy Collection, which is now available online and at your local dealer.
On Friday afternoon a box arrived with the Backeddy Vest, Backeddy Jacket, and Backeddy Waders to carry along on my annual week of hard fishing on Beaver Island and surrounding islands for carp, smallmouth, and pike on the flats. This trip is perfect for field testing since it requires layers. It's cold. It's warm. It's wet. And more.
To round out the Beaver Island kit for a layer of warmth, the Fusion Hybrid Jacket is going, too. You can review my review on this jacket in the Tools for Nelson's Spring Creek from last fall.

First takes on the Backeddy Collection? Each of these pieces show a continuation of SKWALA's commitment to design and function with the highest quality fabrics to excel on the water and off.
After some time in each of Backeddy Collection pieces, I'll break them down feature by feature for a series of upcoming T.F.M. posts. Maybe I can even talk Rich into us giving away some SKWALA gear again soon, too...
In the meantime, visit the SKWALA website and follow along on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
