The news broke unexpectedly over a month ago that Shawn Combs, formally of Orvis, would be joining the Scott Fly Rod Company in the new year. Shawn's been in Montrose for the past several weeks and is article from Hatch Magazine is worth a few minutes of your time to read.
Knowing Shawn for the past sixteen years, I am really excited to see what he and Jim Bartschi have in mind with fly rod design and the future of the Scott Fly Rod Company.
It sure is fun seeing a friend have a new opportunity and I can't imagine that this won't be a great fit for him and his family for the years to come.
