Sunday Cinema - "Currents of Belize"

Lisa Jones from Costa Del Mar sunglasses sent me an email this week with a link to "Currents of Belize" which is a film that was made to highlight the changing face of tourism and fishing in Belize.

Currents of Belize from McJ Digital on Vimeo.

It is well worth a watch and I especially enjoyed it as South Carolina is thawing out from six inches of snow this weekend.

I think we are all thinking about warmer climes, eh?

Hi Cam,
I fished in Placencia in '93 had great fishing and loved the town. I've always wanted to go back but I'm afraid of what I'd see. I know Placencia was hit hard a few years ago by a hurricane and has since been rebuilt. I have seen also that there is an airstrip there now. Probably good for the native folks to have some outside monies coming in but I think it would break my heart. I'm glad I went when I did and will remember it the way it was.
Cheers

RFMcD...you certainly get around to some neat locations. Any chance for a NC trip?

No NC this year, I'm sorry to say. I do get around alot I agree. I am very fortunate that my wife is a traveler and I won't go anywhere if I can't fish when I get there. so we plan trips with fishing in mind. Two or three days of fishing in a week long vacation and I'm happy to be anywhere.
