T.F.M. Spotting - Weekend At Joe Wright

Austin Clayton of The Colorado Experiment (not recently updated but still worth a look since he's got skills at the vise) recently took a weekend trip to Joe Wright Reservoir with friends and sent along a few photographs for the T.F.M. Spotting Photo Contest.

Austin wrote...  "The trip to Joe Wright Reservoir took us up Highway 14 through the remnants of the High Park Fire that occurred earlier this summer.  Pretty sad stuff too say the least.  However, I must say I was surprised at how fast the forest is bouncing back.  We arrived to the reservoir late at night and had to make camp by flashlight.  Camping at just under 10,000 feet in late August was fun with ice on the tents in the morning.  It helps get you up early to say the least.  Fished all day, with only two hook ups.  One Grayling of about twelve inches got off before I could land him, and a two incher of unidentifiable origin.  All the other anglers we talked to say that Joe Wright Reservoir had been off the past week and no one had caught much.  Non the less the trip was a blast and we will return next year to a hopefully more fruitful adventure. Take care buddy."

Austin...how about an update to your blog on what you've been tying lately?
