As has been become kind of typical in the process of putting the 12 Days of Christmas together that I ask for one thing and in reply end up for even better things. As I was putting this day together my thoughts were with the newly released Redington Form Game Rod but ended up being offered not only with the Form Game Rod but also with a pair of Sonic Pro Waders and a new apparel piece from Sage, the Kanektok Wool Pro 1/2 Zip.
It quickly took Day 3 from potentially good to great with three excellent prizes from Redington and Sage to hand out today. Here we go...
REDINGTON FORM GAME ROD
My own Form Game Rod arrived at the house a month or so ago and I quickly took it to the office to hopefully indoctrinate a few of my fellow co-workers with the "art" of fly fishing. What's better than some office hijinks messing around with a mini fly rod in the hallway? The Form Game Rod is a huge step forward in practice rods in that it comes with an actual fly line and not a strand of yarn that is going to fall apart.
REDINGTON SONIC PRO WADERS
You've likely seen reviews for the Redington Sonic Pro Waders all over the internet and blogoshere. Redington did a heck of a job getting quite a few pairs out and I was sent a pair of the Wader Pro Pants to demo and review. These waders are tough, the welded seams have held, and so far I've worn them chasing steelhead in Michigan, been to the backcountry of Montana, and the blue lines of North Carolina all in the comfort of these wader pants.
SAGE KANEKTOK WOOL PRO
The Kanektok Wool Pro 1/2 Zip was one of the pieces that I saw this past summer at IFTD and was just one part of an impressive collection of apparel from Sage. Sage have put a lot of time in designing an array of lifestyle and technical apparel pieces over the past couple years which is kind of a neat surprise from company that you might have thought just made fly rods.
