On Saturday afternoon a text from guide and cedar drift boat maker Phil Croff
of Croff Craft came
through with a link to
Facebook Marketplace
with a custom cedar drift boat that he is looking to sell.
That got me going down a rabbit hole of T.F.M. posts that we've worked
together on over the years and figured not only would I share the stunning
drift boat that he's trying to sell but also share a few favorite posts that
date back ten or more years ago to check out as well.
Longtime readers of T.F.M. might remember 'The Birth of a Drift Boat' series of posts that we
did together a few years ago where Phil documented and explained his process
while building "Louise" for a client.

And then that got me thinking about some time on the water, mostly in the dark, zigzagging through choked up creeks chugging mouse patterns at night waiting for a big SLURP...
MOUSE FLOAT ON RIVER X
And, before FishBeerBBQ, Matt Dunn of the now defunct FishBeer.com website, worked on a film project with Phil that is worth a watch. So good.
