If you scrolled back some 5,500 plus T.F.M. posts to September 2011, you'd find a post on the creation of the "Double Deuce" artwork by tattoo artist Eric Hornung. There was intention in that post in doing something with the artwork and for whatever reason, even I don't know why, the original was placed in a protective envelope and more or less archived until a couple of weeks ago when I found it one a Sunday afternoon while looking for something else. What a find.
I prescribe to the idea that everything happens for a reason and I am stoked to finally use the Double Deuce revisited in 2023 as the newest T.F.M. decal offering. I don't know if there is a more perfect slap for your favorite fiberglass fly rod tube or insulated mug that you enjoy a brew out of.
The Double Deuce decal measures approximately 4 inches by 4 inches and up in the T.F.M. Shop. They are $5 each and will be shipped with several T.F.M. freebie decals. Visit the T.F.M. Shop for the other premium decals and other offerings.
Even a dozen years ago, I liked to see how things were created and Eric sent a series of images of the Double Deuce artwork being made. One version had blue sky and clouds instead of the fading sunset which is what made the final piece.
That mayfly perched across the top of the piece reminds me a night a long time ago fishing "The Hex" with Spencer. What a night.
Interested in the Double Deuce decal or anything else in the T.F.M. Shop? Send an email to order and the next trip to the post office will be next Monday. Thanks for the support.
